NMPED COVID-19 Update: 4 Staff Members And 1 Student Test Positive In New Mexico Public Schools In Last 24 Hours
NMPED COVID-19 update:
SANTA FE – The Public Education Department announced today 7 new positive cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
Rapid response has been initiated, and all pertinent information has been verified with the schools and school districts.
The following new cases have been reported:
- One case in Chaves County. The infected individual is a staff member who was last on school property Sept. 28. All staff members and the parents and guardians of all students in the affected school have been notified of the positive case.
- One case in Doña Ana County. The infected individual is a student

LAPD Nabs Suspect In Political Sign Theft; Damage Caper

The Los Alamos Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Section summonsed Joseph Fawcett, 39, of White Rock today on Petty Larceny and Damage to Public or Private Property charges.
The summons resulted from an investigation into the theft and damage of political signs.

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) has announced that its RTD 341 TSV Green route between the Town of Taos and Taos Ski Valley will be suspended for the upcoming 2020/2021 winter season.
The move also impacts the weekend evening service on the RTD 380 Night Rider route, which also will be placed on hold this season.

Los Alamos Golf Course Opens All 18 Holes Oct. 10

The Los Alamos County Golf Course announced this morning that all 18 holes will be open for play beginning Saturday, Oct. 10.
The golf course has seen a very busy schedule for a few months while the irrigation project was underway and only nine holes were playable.
Golf course staff said they are excited to open back up all 18 holes and hope golf enthusiasts come out to enjoy the course for a few more rounds before the colder weather sets in.
