EAA Chapter 691 Young Eagles Rally Oct. 26

The Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 691 will be hosting a Young Eagles Rally starting at 9 a.m., Oct. 26 at the Ohkay Owingeh airport in Española.

Unfortunately weather caused the previous rally to be delayed in both Los Alamos and Española, so both events are being combined into one this coming Saturday. Airplane rides for kids age 8-17 are free.

County Environmental Services Department Closed For Quarterly Employee Training And Certification  

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County Environmental Services Department is closed today, Oct. 23, for employee development, safety training, and certification compliance.

This includes operations at the Eco Station and the Overlook Convenience Center.

Residential service will not be impacted; however, commercial trash and recycling collection service will also be suspended today.

Commercial collection and all other services will resume Thursday, Oct. 24.

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) would like to share that construction on the Los Alamos Nature Center building exterior will commence Monday, Oct. 21 and is anticipated to last approximately three weeks.
