SFCC’s Veterans Resource Center To Host Veterans & Family Resources Fair And Appreciation Ceremony Nov. 5

SANTA FE, NM –Santa Fe Community College’s Veterans Resource Center (VRC) will host Veterans & Family Resources Fair and Veterans Appreciation Ceremony 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday,  Nov. 5 in the Jemez Rooms on campus at 6401 Richards Ave.

The free event includes a resource fair with information on new benefits and programs for vets, veteran-owned business support, education benefits and veterans’ family services. There will also be information about academic programs and scholarships. The event is free and open to the public. Veterans and their families are encouraged to attend.

“We’re excited to be able to offer this in-person event to show the college’s support and appreciation of veterans and their families,” said Veterans Resource Center Coordinator Gary Logsdon, an Air Force veteran.

Some of the organizations that will participate include: UNM Business/Education Outreach, Horses for Healing, Veterans Upward Bound-UNM Taos, Santa Fe Vet Center and Paw and Stripes.
