LAMTA News:
The Los Alamos Music Teachers Association (LAMTA) has announced the winners of the 2024 District NE-I Honors Auditions, held Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at UNM-Los Alamos. Students from Los Alamos, Santa Fe and Taos participated, presenting their best performances.
The judges for the piano category were Robert Krupnick and Dr. Natasha Stojanovska from Santa Fe, and the judge for the string category was Kay Newnam of Los Alamos.

All 1st place winners from the six districts of the Professional Music Teachers of New Mexico will convene Saturday, Nov. 9 to compete at the State Honors Auditions held in Keller Hall at UNM-Albuquerque. LAMTA wishes all of its NE-I winners the best of luck as they prepare for the state competition!
The Honors Auditions are open to students from Santa Fe, Taos, Los Alamos, Española and Las Vegas, and there are categories for all instruments and voice. Non-member teachers can enter their students for an extra fee. LAMTA is a non-profit 501-(c-3) organization, and the local affiliate of the State (PMTNM) and National (MTNA) professional music organizations for independent music teachers and college music faculty.
