Pets Of The Week: Meet Cocoa And Mac N’ Cheese

Cocoa is a mini ‘velvet hippo’ mama bear who has recently weaned some pups – and now she’s ready to have her own life again. This fun-size 52 lb 3-year-old pittie mix is an absolute lover, she’s housetrained, and she’s got sweet soulful eyes with a gentle demeanor – and she even likes cats. She can be protective of kids with other dogs in the house – like we said, she’s a mama bear. Española Humane is recommending that if you have kids, she be an only dog. If you do not have kids, she loves other dogs and does great in playgroups – and she has been a perfect angel during her week vacation Read More

Pets Of The Week: Meet Leche & Talula

Silver alert: Leche! This quiet, shy, long haired senior loves gentle grooming and soft pets around her ears. She licks her foster mom on her nose after giving a soft meow. Leche devours her Sheba with gravy, practices meticulous litter box habits, and uses her cardboard scratcher frequently. Leche would fit in well in a home with no children and no other pets – she has earned her request for a quiet life indoors. Apply for Leche on the Española Humane website and schedule a meet and greet with her foster mom. Visit www.espanolahumane.org 505.753.8662. Courtesy/EH
