LANL Director Charlie McMillan sent out the following memo to all employees this afternoon:

Subject: Cost Management and Workforce Planning

On Thursday, the Laboratory submitted a plan to NNSA calling for a voluntary separation program (VSP) with a severance package based on years of service.

LANL Director Calls All Hands Meeting

In a memo sent to all employees Friday, Los Alamos National Laboratory Director Charlie McMillan announced that he will call an all hands meeting at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

On the agenda is information regarding the budget.

FY 2013 Budget Request Seeks $11.5 Billion to Achieve President Obama’s Nuclear Security Objectives, Shape Future of Nuclear Security

WASHINGTON, D.C. – National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Administrator Thomas D’Agostino today highlighted the strong support for NNSA in President Obama’s Fiscal Year 2013 Budget Request, which was delivered to Congress earlier today. The $11.5 billion budget request will help NNSA achieve the President’s nuclear security objectives, including his four-year goal to secure vulnerable nuclear material around the world. Never-Before-Seen Manhattan Project Footage
