Opera on the Rocks, at Bandelier National Monument’s Juniper Campground outdoor amphitheater, is an annual event now in its fourth year.

The Rio Arriba County Fair is July 29-Aug. 1 and the Rio Arriba County Fair Association is welcoming all food, arts and crafts, promotional and information vendors to participate.

To obtain a $20 permit for the entire fair, visit https:////www.racfa.net/. This year’s fair will feature the most livestock and indoor projects seen. Come out and see the lambs, goats, swine, steers, breeding heifers, rabbits and poultry.

Tomorrow evening, the Los Alamos Rotary STARS will hold its first annual ¡Fiesta Los Alamos! fundraiser 6-10 p.m. at Fuller Lodge. All proceeds raised throughout the evening will support a shelter for the parents of children receiving treatment in Juarez, Mexico who are forced by poverty to sleep on the street while their children are in the hospital.
