New Mexico COVID-19 Update: 137 New Cases, Total 200,037 With 3 New Deaths And 185,249 Recovered

SANTA FE – New Mexico Department of Health officials announced today 137 new COVID-19 cases.
Los Alamos County reports zero new cases so the total remains 525 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)
Today’s update includes 3 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.
The New Mexico Department of Health reports the most recent cases:
- 56 new cases in Bernalillo County
- 1 new case in Chaves County
- 4 new cases in Cibola County
- 2 new cases in Colfax

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) Tuesday announced that businesses, nonprofits, religious congregations, community centers, and other organizations can now request on-site vaccination events through a new DOH webform at getvaxnm.com.

Portales High Required To Close Based On COVID Spread

SANTA FE — Portales High School became the second of New Mexico’s 840 public schools to face a mandatory return to remote instruction based on COVID-19 spread following widespread school reentry April 5.
The Roosevelt County school of almost 800 students received a mandatory closure order Friday based on four Rapid Responses in 14 days, the state’s conservative threshold to prevent spread of the novel coronavirus.
