Los Alamos Tennis Club Hosts Williams Tournament

The Los Alamos Tennis Club hosted the 3rd annual Joel Williams Tournament this past weekend at Urban Park Tennis Courts. The tournament has been played continually for almost 60 years and draws some of the best players from Northern New Mexico. Thirty-two players signed up to participate in this year’s event including high school, adults and both male and female. The tournament offers a full slate of events for the participants. Alan Williams was the winner in the Mens A Singles over David Rutherford 6-4, 6-7 and 6-2. The match took 3 hours and was characterized by high-level points. Photo by John McHale/ladailypost.com
