LAHS Girls Soccer Kick For The Cure Fundraiser Oct. 19

SPORTS News:

One in eight American women—more than a quarter of a million women and men this year—will likely develop breast cancer.

The Los Alamos High School Girls Soccer Program aims to help halt this deadly disease through their annual Breast Cancer Awareness month fundraiser.

Teams are collecting donations and hosting halftime penalty kick fundraising shootouts at boys’ and girls’ home games Saturday, Oct. 19 at Sullivan Field.

Topper Varsity Soccer Wins 1st Game District Play

The Topper Girls Varsity Soccer Team wins the first game of district play 3-0 Tuesday against the Taos Tigers at the Taos Eco Park. The Toppers dominated the game with strong defense and relentless offense, with goals coming from Alyssa Parker, Tara McDonald, and Kaya Krantz. Kaitlyn McGrane also had a strong game with 8 shots on goal. Scheduled for three games this week, the team faced Moriarty in their second District game Thursday and will travel to take on Aztec Saturday. Pictured is Kaya Krantz taking a shot on goal.
