Topper Volleyball Wins Against Cleveland Storm Team

The Los Alamos Hilltoppers volleyball team greets their opponent for Wednesday nights game against the Cleveland Storm Volleyball Team. The Storms has been one of the premier volleyball teams in the state for many years, however this year is an exception, they are struggling. The storms came out strong and won the first set 25-22. Then the Toppers got their game together and won the next three sets to win the match 3-1. The fourth set was a thriller going down to the last serve, but the Toppers emerged victorious 27-25. This was a big victory for the Toppers who had been struggling the last few games. Read More

Scenes From Topper Soccer Against Bosque Bobcats

The Topper Girls and Topper Boys played very strong soccer teams from Albuquerque, the Bosque Bobcats in a double hitter this past Tuesday at Sullivan Field. The Topper Girls had the early game and created many offensive chances shooting 27 times against the Bobcats. Two found their way into the net in the second half: Valerie Li scored off a pass from Vianey Terrazas and Alyssa Parker scored from an assist from Alix Hailey. Leah Wolfsberg and Shelly Doyle did a good job controlling their ball from the back and distributing up to the offense. Good hustle was seen from Izzy Hodge and Alissia Haagenstad. Read More

Scenes From LAHS Annual Golf Tournament … Toppers Boys Take First Place And Girls Take Second

Los Alamos High School Golf teams hosted their annual golf tournament Monday at the Los Alamos County Golf Course. The tournament hosted 85 players from 10 schools. The Topper Boys Team finished in first place with a combined score of 305 ahead of Albuquerque Academy who scored 317 as a team. LAHS Toppers Win Against Bloomfield Bobcats Friday

The Los Alamos Hilltopper football team rips their way onto Sullivan Field Friday night for a football extravaganza. The Toppers were to play the Bloomfield Bobcats who had a record of 5-1 entering this game. There was a large jubilant crowd in attendance and they were not disappointed with all the evenings events. The NJROTC presented the colors and the Topper marching band was in attendance and performed at halftime. The Toppers played one of their best games beating the tough Bobcats 28-20. Ski season is right around the corner! Today marks 99 days until the kickoff of the ski season for Pajarito Mountain, which will open for the 2018/19 season Friday, Dec. 21.
 
El Niño is forecast for the 2018/19 season, which means more powder days at Pajarito! The National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is predicting El Niño conditions for this winter, which tend to produce a greater than average snowfall across the southern Rockies, benefiting New Mexico.
