Christ Has Died! Christ Has Risen!
By Rev. Brian L. Kachelmeier
Pastor of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church
Without the sacrifice of Jesus upon the cross, we cannot be reconciled to the Father. During the season of Lent, we are thankful that Christ has been crucified for us. He died for our transgressions. He has won for us the forgiveness of all of our sins.
Without the glorious resurrection of Jesus from the tomb, we cannot have eternal life. During the season of Easter, we rejoice in the resurrection of Christ from the dead.
He was raised for our justification. Because of this event, we are declared Read More

And we had a beautiful Passover Seder and I think it was led by the Army chaplain but I’m not positive. But it was a very wonderful feeling; yes.”

Column: ‘Why People Do Not Go to Church?’
“Why People Do Not Go to Church?”A strange subject for a pastor to explore, but one that even this pastor, lived for 10 years. It’s a cultural phenomenon not limited to Los Alamos but spans across the Atlantic, into the very seat of modern Christianity.
According to one report by the North American Mission Board, Los Alamos has the highest percentage of church-attendance of any county in New Mexico – 9.5 percent!
But still, ‘why do people not go to church?’
This is what I have seen, heard and felt:
