Letter To The Editor: Why I Am Voting For Question 1

I will be voting FOR Question 1 to abolish the position of an elected office of the sheriff. I first got involved in this issue when I served on the Charter Review Committee. We thoroughly reviewed the Charter line by line. The issue of an elected sheriff was one of quite a few issues we considered. Political Sign Thieves Beware!

POLITICAL News:

Thieves are stealing political yard signs throughout the community and people are getting fed up.

Kelly Benner from the Republican Party of Los Alamos told the Los Alamos Daily Post that she has had residents come in to the local GOP headquarters multiple times to replace yard signs that have been stolen during the night.

She said people are getting really upset and some are going to install game cams in an effort to identify the thieves.
