PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. – For the sixth consecutive year and marking the 60th Anniversary of NORAD tracks Santa, First Lady Michelle Obama took time from her holiday schedule to deliver cheer to children across America by personally answering phone calls on Santa’s journey as part of the annual NORAD Tracks Santa program run by the North American Aerospace Defense Command.

By DAVID IZRAELEVITZMuch too late, in retrospect I realize now, I developed an interest in my family history. The immigration of my parents and my siblings from Uruguay to America is one that I was a witness to, so I could, and have, documented that story.
But every year around this time, I receive a thank you letter that reminds me that my history is richer and deeper than my own story. All four of my grandparents were immigrants themselves, in this case from Lithuania to Uruguay in the 1920’s.

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced Wednesday changes to traveler security screening at airports, allowing TSA personnel to require travelers to go through body scanners even if the passenger prefers a full-body pat-down instead.
