WIC is an acronym visible throughout America including the aisles of the new Smith’s Marketplace, however it is an acronym that tends to be underestimated or thought of as the milk and cheese program.

Food on the Hill: Boston Cooler
I grew up in southeast Michigan and we would have these during the summer. They are very easy to make, but they are very good! I believe that they need to be made with ONLY Vernor’s soda. Luckily, Smith’s carries this. It has a special taste.
Ingredients (for one drink):
12 oz of Vernor’s ginger ale
3/4 of a pint of vanilla ice cream
Directons:
In a blender, miix together until smooth.

Letter to the Editor: Thanks to Smith’s Marketplace Managers and Staff

The thought of a store like this that could put my smaller businesses out of business made me physically sick. After reading some of the things my old friend Dave Fox has said, I realized I put too little faith in our business owners/leaders and our community members. We are capable of keeping Read More
