FBI: Vehicle Pursuit In Las Cruces Results In Federal Charges Against Zachary Stephen Reeder

Zachary Stephen Reeder, 39, of Marana, Ariz., was arrested on a federal complaint charging him with assault on a federal task force officer and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
 
Reeder is expected to appear Monday in U.S. District Court in Las Cruces.
 
Reeder was arrested after a vehicular pursuit in Las Cruces by law enforcement investigating a report of a possibly armed and dangerous suspect in a stolen car Thursday night. During the pursuit, the car allegedly rammed a vehicle driven by an FBI task force officer, who was not seriously injured.

Mayors and County Commissioners near New Mexico’s two National Monuments under review by President Trump are expressing outrage at Governor Martinez’ recent letter supporting the potential reduction of New Mexico’s newest National Monuments.

Driver In Single-Vehicle Rollover Pleads Not Guilty

Staff Report

A 21-year-old Hernandez man involved in a July 9 single-vehicle rollover on Diamond Drive pleaded not guilty to charges of driving under the influence, speeding and open container Monday before Municipal Judge Alan Kirk.

Bobbyray Sisneros was arrested after Los Alamos Police and Fire Department personnel responded at 8 p.m. to the scene of the crash. Sisneros and his two passengers were transported to Los Alamos Medical Center where they were treated for minor injuries.

Meredith Madsen Matlack died at her home in Los Alamos, New Mexico early on the morning of July 9, 2017. She was 95.

Meredith was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on Oct. 9, 1921, the firstborn child of Martin C. Madsen and Ethel Huffer. She met George Miller Matlack when they were chemistry majors at Grinnell College in Iowa, and they married in 1943. She worked as a blood technician to help him through his Ph.D at the University of Iowa. Kenneth L. Gonzales, age 57, passed away on July 9, 2017 in El Paso, Texas.

Kenneth was born in Espanola, NM on May 24, 1960, and raised in Los Alamos, NM. He was a graduate of Los Alamos High School 1979 and entered into the Airforce after graduation.

Kenneth was a Supervisory Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officer in El Paso at the time of his passing.  Supervisor Gonzales worked at the Port of El Paso at the Ysleta Bridge and was promoted to Supervisor in April of 2015.

Albuquerque Woman Sentenced To Prison For Federal Bank Robbery Conviction

ALBUQUERQUE  Joleen Sedillo, 42, of Albuquerque was sentenced July 14 in federal court to 27 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for her conviction on bank robbery charges.
 
Sedillo and co-defendants Abel Lopez, 31, and William Colbert, 38, both of Albuquerque, were arrested in July 2016, on a criminal complaint charging them with bank robbery charges. The criminal complaint alleges that Sedillo, Lopez and Colbert robbed Bank of the West branches located at 5401 Central Ave. NE and 7900 Wyoming Blvd. NE on June 22, 2016 and June 27, 2016,
