Driver In Single-Vehicle Rollover Pleads Not Guilty

Staff Report

A 21-year-old Hernandez man involved in a July 9 single-vehicle rollover on Diamond Drive pleaded not guilty to charges of driving under the influence, speeding and open container Monday before Municipal Judge Alan Kirk.

Bobbyray Sisneros was arrested after Los Alamos Police and Fire Department personnel responded at 8 p.m. to the scene of the crash. Sisneros and his two passengers were transported to Los Alamos Medical Center where they were treated for minor injuries.

Judge Kirk allowed Sisneros to remain free on conditions of release, which included reporting to the Probation Office on a weekly basis pending trial.

“I can’t warn you enough to stay away from alcohol and drugs right now,” he told Sisneros.

Sisneros faces a fine of up to $999 and 90 days in jail for the first offense driving while intoxicated charge and up to $500 and 90 days in jail for each of the other two charges.

Court records indicate that Sisneros was charged with DWI first offense in August 2015 in Espanola Magistrate Court however that charge appears to have been dismissed with prejudice on a motion from the defense attorney.
