The National History Day Club at Los Alamos High School is hosting a presentation by Judith Avila on Chester Nez, a World War II Navajo Code Talker.
Avila co-authored Chester Nez’s autobiography and will be giving a presentation about him at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 at Fuller Lodge. LAPD Releases Details Of Officer-Involved Shooting
LAPD News:
Officers with the Los Alamos Police Department were involved in an overnight shooting that occurred around 3:45 a.m. Saturday, LAPD Cmdr. Preston announced this afternoon. No officers were injured in the incident.
The officers were investigating suspicious circumstances at a Los Alamos County facility located at the Pajarito Cliffs site, Ballew said.
“During this investigation shots were fired by police and a pursuit ensued out of Los Alamos County and into the Espanola/Rio Arriba County area,” Ballew said. “It ended at Corlett Street in Espanola where the suspects left Read More
