Two Dead In Plane Crash In Pecos Wilderness

MORA COUNTY New Mexico State Police was notified Sept. 26 of an airplane that went missing after taking off from the Santa Fe Airport in Santa Fe.

 

The airplane was a single engine fixed winged four seat aircraft out of Colorado. There were two occupants, a pilot and a passenger. They were last seen refueling and taking off from the Santa Fe Airport, when Santa Fe air traffic control lost contact with the airplane.

The Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the grand opening of the Los Alamos STEAM Lab with a ribbon cutting 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.

 

The actual ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. at 1615 Central Ave., next door to Metzger’s Do It Best Hardware, above EXIT Realty.

State Land Office Offers Domestic Violence Awareness Training During Lunch Hour Oct.15 And Oct. 30

State Land Office employees gathered Tuesday to raise an “End Domestic Violence” flag, which features the purple ribbon recognizing survivors and victims of domestic violence. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, one in three women and one in four men in the United States have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner. Approximately 59 percent of incidents in New Mexico are never reported to law enforcement.

NMDOH Recommends Flu Vacines for People 6 Mos. & Older

 
SANTA FE The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) reports the first laboratory confirmed cases of influenza (better known as flu) of the 2019-2020 season.
 
All five cases are adults; three cases reside in Sandoval County, one in Santa Fe County, and there has been one fatal case in Bernalillo County where the 90-year-old patient died.
