LAPD: Crash On East N.M. 502 Near Twin Tanks Area … Traffic Down To One Lane

LAPD News:

Los Alamos Police have responded to a single vehicle crash on East N.M. 502 around mile marker 8 and the Twin Tanks area. The vehicle involved was a truck, and the driver was transported with unknown injuries.

All children entering kindergarten in the fall are eligible to attend this year’s Safety Town being held rom 8:30 a.m.–12 p.m., Monday, June 1 through Friday, June 5 at Barranca Mesa Elementary School. WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) cosponsored the Workplace Overdose Reversal Kits (WORK) to Save Lives Act, bipartisan legislation to help tackle rising rates of opioid overdoses with increased access to overdose reversal medications like naloxone.

Dr. Robert Morton Bernstein passed away at the age of 80. When Rob experienced a major cardiac event mid-February, he was doing exactly what he loved—going out for a day of skiing in the beautiful New Mexico mountains. NM Supreme Court To Hear Case In Portales For Rule Of Law Program April 1

SANTA FE — Students will have an opportunity to see how courts resolve disputes when the New Mexico Supreme Court conducts an oral argument in April in Portales as a part of a civics education program.

The Court will hear attorneys present arguments on behalf of their clients in a criminal case for the Rule of Law Program at 1 p.m., April 1 at the University Theatre Center at Eastern New Mexico University. Los Alamos County Community Services Department has partnered with CivicPlus to implement its Recreation Management software, CivicRec. The cloud-based solution allows residents greater visibility into the offered park and recreation divisions’ activities, events, and memberships, as well as more convenient online registration and payment. Several lakes in Northeast New Mexico opened for fishing this weekend. Morphy Lake State Park, Clayton Lake State Park, Charette Lakes and Maxwell Lake 13 opened after being closed for the winter. Clayton Lake was stocked Feb. 18 with 4,001 rainbow trout in preparation for the opener. There should be good fishing for holdover rainbow trout at Charette and Maxwell Lake 13.

County To Hold Public Meeting About Denver Steels Phase III Improvements March 5

FBI: Federal Charges Filed In Eddy County Deputy Shooting

ALBUQUERQUE — A Carlsbad man is facing federal charges after allegedly firing a rifle at an Eddy County Sheriff’s Office deputy responding to a call.
