LAPS Foundation Announces Search For New Executive Director

The Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation (LAPSF) officially announced today that it has opened the search for a new Executive Director. The application period will remain open through March 30, 2026.

As a leading nonprofit in Los Alamos, LAPSF provides resources directly to local schools through over $2 million generously donated by our community. These funds support teacher professional development, “Great Ideas” grants, classroom supplies, and student scholarships. 

The incoming Executive Director will play a pivotal role in taking the Foundation to the next level of support, fostering corporate partnerships, and expanding its impact across the school district.

“We are seeking a visionary leader who shares our passion for education and possesses the skills to lead us into the future,” Board President Kurt Steinhaus said. 

Key qualifications for the role:

  • Expertise in fundraising, resource development, and community engagement.
  • Proven leadership experience within the non-profit sector or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic and financial plans.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a deep commitment to the mission of Los Alamos Public Schools.
