He married Joan Jordan in 1953. They had three daughters: Kimberley, Cynthia, and Sharon. Ed and Jo married in Ohio, but went on to spend time living in New Jersey and Belgium before settling in Pittsburgh, PA for over 50 years. Jo passed in 2009.
