Laboratory Earth Day Trails Tour Open To Public

LANL News:

In celebration of Earth Day, the Trails Management Program at Los Alamos National Laboratory will host a hiking tour the morning of April 14 at Lower Water Canyon and Lion’s Cave Trails.

Laboratory archeologist and biologists will provide information about the landscape and its cultural and biological resources as well as geology.

Under the terms of a plea bargain in the First Judicial District Court Monday, Richard Atencio pleaded no contest to charges of larceny and attempting to tamper with evidence in connection with a Los Alamos National Laboratory property theft case from 2015.

ESPAÑOLA—Charlyna Gonzales of Peñasco High School, Khaled Khweis of Taos High School and Wilbur Wang of Los Alamos High School are recipients of the 2017 Los Alamos Employees’ Scholarship Fund top-level Gold Scholarships.

They are among 111 student winners from the seven-county Northern New Mexico region selected to receive 117 scholarships totaling $660,250.
