U.S. Rep. Ben Ray Luján

From the Office of U.S. Rep. Ben Ray Luján:

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Ben Ray Luján (D-NM) today visited Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) to meet with lab employees and discuss issues of interest to the Labs.

He was briefed by LANL personnel and discussed topics including tech transfer, the Labs infrastructure and workforce needs and expanding regional capacity.

“Our nation faces a wide range of threats including environmental challenges, the emergence and spread of infectious disease, the need for increased energy independence, the spread of nuclear weapons, and renewed aggression of established nuclear weapons states such as Russia and North Korea,” Lujan said.  “When I work with my colleagues in Congress to make decisions on national investments, visits like this allow me to emphasize the strong return on investment that DOE provides through its 17 National Laboratories to our national security and economic development.”
