On Wednesday, March 14, 2018, I took my daughter to Chill Zone (yogurt place) in Bernalillo. As we were enjoying our Froyo many students from Los Alamos entered Chill Zone – they literally packed the place. Looks like they ate at Dions Pizza first and then went to Chill Zone for dessert.

UNM-Los Alamos (UNM-LA) instructor Dr. Renae Mitchell will screen the PBS film “All the Difference” at noon Monday, March 19.
In conjunction with her class AMST 185: Intro to Race, Class and Ethnicity, Mitchell is screening three different PBS Point of View films; each provides an in-depth look at the lives of people outside of the stereotypical American norm. LAHS Shows Solidarity To Florida High School
Students and staff, Los Alamos Public School administrators, community members and organizations such as the League of Women Voters participated in a school walkout this morning at Los Alamos High School. The walkout was to show solidarity to the shooting that left 17 people dead at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., and to voice support for ending violence in schools. Leah Wolfsberg, one of the organizers, said the walkout was a ‘really great opportunity to bring the school together and change the culture of the school so gun violence will never happen here’.
