Balderas: Gary Gregor, Teacher Who Assaulted Multiple Students In Rio Arriba County Sentenced In Second Case

SANTA FE — Attorney General Hector Balderas has announced that Gary Gregor, former teacher in the Española School District, was sentenced to six years of incarceration for his sexual assault of a second grade student at Fairview Elementary School during the 2006-07 school year.

A jury found him guilty of 3rd-Degree Felony Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor under 13 years old.

SANTA FE – Today, the House Appropriations and Finance Committee passed House Bill 2.

The General Appropriations Act of 2020 appropriates $7.614 billion for Fiscal Year 2021, an increase of 7.5 percent, or $529 million over FY 2020.

Lynne Uhring said rest stops are much more than a place to stop to stretch your legs or use the bathroom. 

Surveying a series of historical plaques honoring women who contributed to New Mexico’s history at the La Bajada rest stop about 20 miles south of Santa Fe, the Albuquerque resident said the quality of these facilities says a lot about the state.

The temperatures are forecast to be in the mid-50’s in the Espanola Valley and should be mild all across the state this weekend.

An excellent time to get out and enjoy some mid-winter fishing. Even ice-fishing can be pleasant if there’s not too much wind and a warm sun. The surface of the ice can get wet and slushy, while streambanks can get slippery and muddy. Be sure to have on some good, waterproof footwear.
