Olive arrived in late May with a brutal injury to her mouth. Española Humane vets determined this tenacious tabby had likely been bitten by a spider in her tongue, and due to the necrosis, much of her tongue had to be amputated. At first she was unable to eat; a tube was inserted into her stomach so she could be fed every few hours, and she was also supported with IV fluids.
