NMMNHS News:
The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science (NMMNHS) will safely reopen to the public today, March 17, following a temporary closure last month due to positive COVID-19 cases reported by staff members.
Museum hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday, and visitation will be limited to 75 people at any one time.

With the end of the 2021 legislative session looming promptly at noon Saturday, an issue that has dominated the Capitol spotlight for the past eight weeks remains in limbo: an effort to legalize the recreational use of cannabis.
Advocates say there’s still hope for the Legislature to pass a measure in the next three and a half days and get it to the desk of Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, who has voiced her support.

Traffic Alert: Lane Switch Near Roundabout Begins Monday
Traffic Alert:
Star Paving has announced an upcoming lane shift that will begin Monday when crews return to complete the final work on the roundabout for N.M. 502 at the eastern edge of Los Alamos.
N.M. 502 westbound traffic will be switched to a new westbound lane on Monday.
Motorists are asked to slow down and use caution.
Crews will be working in and along the roadway for the next three months to complete final work on the project.

SIERRA COUNTY—Canadian Corporation C6 Launch Systems has unveiled a new rocket engine test stand at Spaceport America’s vertical launch area.
At a ribbon cutting ceremony held on site, C6 showed off the static rocket test stand constructed by Highland Enterprises of Las Cruces.

County Offering COVID Vaccines To Homebound Residents
COUNTY News:
Los Alamos County’s Emergency Management Office, in coordination with the Social Services Office, have begun offering COVID vaccines to those who meet the current criteria for the vaccine as defined by the State of New Mexico, but who may be homebound for medical reasons and therefore unable to attend a vaccine clinic at a local facility.
