State Pauses COVID Reporting For Holiday Weekend

NMDOH News:

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) announced Friday that it will not release a daily COVID-19 case count report today or Sunday, April 4, in recognition of Easter weekend.

In addition, updates to the state’s vaccine dashboard will be paused.

Updates will resume Monday, April 5.

SANTA FE — The state Supreme Court ruled Thursday that New Mexico courts cannot order a veteran to reimburse a former spouse for a divorce agreement’s share of military retirement pay that ended when the veteran opted to receive disability benefits.

New Mexico COVID-19 Update: 218 New Cases, Total 192,152 With 7 Deaths And 173,981 Patients Recovered

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials today announced 218 new COVID-19 cases.

Los Alamos County reports zero new cases today so the total remains at 501 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)

Today’s update includes 7 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

ALBUQUERQUE — Attorney General Hector Balderas announced Thursday that Valencia County Magistrate Court Judge John R. Chavez found probable cause that Leo Martinez and Robbie Proffitt committed the felony crimes of embezzlement, fraud and forgery.

Proffitt and Martinez, two commercial truck drivers, allegedly stole approximately $500,000 worth of bulk hay that they were supposed to have delivered to Pareo Farm, a family dairy farm in Valencia County.
