New Mexico Supreme Court: ‘Actual Endangerment’ Not Required For Conviction In Fleeing Police In Hi-Speed Chase

SANTA FE — The state Supreme Court ruled Thursday that a person can be convicted of the felony offense of aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer without another person being in the vicinity of the pursuit.

Luján, Moran Introduce Bipartisan Legislation To Tackle Scams Targeting Native Americans

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senators Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) and Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) introduced the Protecting Indian Tribes from Scams Act to direct the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to work with Tribal authorities to study scams targeting Tribes and Tribal members.

FBI: Santa Rosa Man Faces Meth, Fentanyl Trafficking

ALBUQUERQUE — Paul James Jaramillo, III, 31, of Santa Rosa was arraigned in federal court May 24 on an indictment charging him with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl. Jaramillo will remain in custody pending trial.
