Splash n Dash Draws More Than 100 Athletes

More than 100 athletes participated in Splash n Dash Wednesday.
There is one more Splash n Dash Aug. 7 and there will be prizes for anyone who participates in three or more of the events.
Splash n Dash events are free and open to ages six and up. There are three courses this year: a 400M swim and 5K run, a 200M swim and 3K run, and for athletes ages 6 to 12, a 100M swim and 1.3 mile run.

Girls Soccer Tryouts Begin Aug. 12
LAHS News:
Soccer tryouts for the girls high school soccer program begin Aug. 12.
There will be a short meeting at 7 a.m., Aug. 12 at Sullivan Field to collect medical release forms, get a head count, review schedule and procedures for the try outs.
Tryouts will be conducted at Pueblo and Sullivan Fields. The morning session are 7:30-9 a.m. Monday and Tuesday at Sullivan Field. The afternoon session is 4:30-7 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Pueblo Complex.

Third Splash n Dash Wednesday
TMC News:
The Triatomics’ Splash n Dash #3 will be this Wednesday night. Registration will open at 6:30 p.m. at the back of the Aquatic Center and the first swimmer pushes off at 7 p.m.
This is a free event sponsored by the Triatomics Multisports Club, LA County Parks and Rec, and Los Alamos National Bank.

Spectators and players braved a thunderstorm as the Los Alamos M’Atom Bombs hosted the Dirty Curry Prairie Dollz from Clovis Saturday night.
Down a player after an injury in the first half, the Bombs fell to the Clovis team 54-45 during the action-pack competition at Los Alamos Ice Rink.
