Los Alamos High School Senior Cameron Guy Earns Outstanding Young Adult Patroller Award

Cameron Guy, a senior at Los Alamos High School, received the Outstanding Young Adult Patroller award for the Rocky Mountain Division of the National Ski Patrol during the Young Adult Patroller Jamboree March 1-2 at Winter Park, Colo. Guy was awarded a new pair of Ski Logic skis. He also will be considered for the National Young Adult Patroller Award.

Registration Opens For Los Alamos Senior Olympic Games

SENIOR OLYMPICS News:
 
Registration is now open at the Family YMCA on Iris Street to participate in the Los Alamos Senior Olympic Games set for April 11 through May 13. Deadline to register is 9 p.m., March 31.
 
Fees are $20 and include a t-shirt, ticket to the Betty Ehart Senior Center Celebration of Athletes Luncheon, and automatic qualification for State Games (Roswell in July) in all the local sports/events an athlete participates in.

Hilltopper T&F Show Good Season Start at Chili Quad

LAHS SPORTS News:

The Los Alamos High School Girls Track & Field team competed Saturday at the Chili Quad in Rio Rancho.

 

“It was a great start for our season. We had a lot of athletes compete and the results were very good for this early in the season,” Head Coach Paul Anderson said. “We have a very young team with some great senior leaders, so we are looking forward to improving every week.”

Atomic City Road Runners Club Launches 41st Season April 1

The Atomic City Road Runners Club is kicking off its 41st season of pace races at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 1 at the Canyon Rim Trailhead on East Road (N.M. 502) across from the Co-operative Market.
 
The season runs through early October with races conducted weekly at various sites throughout Los Alamos County. T-shirts will be available for members at the end of the season.
