Los Alamos Tennis Club Hosts Williams Tournament
The Los Alamos Tennis Club hosted the 3rd annual Joel Williams Tournament this past weekend at Urban Park Tennis Courts. The tournament has been played continually for almost 60 years and draws some of the best players from Northern New Mexico. Thirty-two players signed up to participate in this year’s event including high school, adults and both male and female. The tournament offers a full slate of events for the participants. LAHS Girls Varsity Soccer 2019 Season Kicks Off
Varsity Assistant Coach Erika Leibrecht made an open pass upfield to teamate Hannah Gram. The Los Alamos High School Girls Varsity Soccer kicked of the 2019 season with a scrimmage between the Varsity and JV teams, followed by the annual alumni game. The Varsity Team is lead by Head Coach Ann Cernicek and Assistant Coach Erika Leibrecht. The JV team is lead by Coach Jessica Kubicek-Sutherland. The Family YMCA Announces New Sports, Youth & Family Director Espinoza

The Los Alamos Family YMCA announced that Sharleen Espinoza has accepted the position of Sports, Youth & Family director; she will begin her new position immediately.
Espinoza has worked for The Family YMCA since 2012, first as a Welcome Center representative and then as the Member Services coordinator before leaving last year to continue her education.
