Boys U11 & U12 Soccer Teams On Winning Streak

The Boys U11 LAFC Krypton Lasers defeated the Westside United Bears 3-1 in a hard fought match for their third win in three games. Dhruv Thulasidasan initiated the Lasers’ first goal by stealing the ball from a Bears midfielder and passing to James Ito who dribbled down the right side of the field and drilled a shot to the far post past the goalie into the side netting.

LAFC KIXX Girls Soccer Team Wins Two Games

In the Girls U13 Duke City Soccer League, the LAFC KIXX 2005 played the Four Corners United Crossfire 2005 March 10 and defeated them 1-0. It was a tough game, but the KIXX really came together and played well.  

Jadyn Ostic and Mackenzie Echave did a fantastic job defensively keeping Crossfire’s shots to minimum. Keeper Dalia Drew made several beautiful saves not allowing a single shot to penetrate. Local Wrestler Jordan Herrera Wins First At State

Jordan Herrera celebrates taking first place in the March 3 AAU State Wrestling Tournament in Santa Fe in the third/fourth grade, 70-75lbs division. Herrera took first place at two regular tournaments prior to the state event and was 6-0 going in. Scenes From Girls Lacrosse Premier Home Game

The Los Alamos Girls Lacrosse team took to the field in their premier first home game Tuesday afternoon in Whiterock at Dara Jones Field. This is the first season that the Girls Lacrosse team has had a full team to compete competitively. On Tuesday the team played the Rio Rancho Raptors, a well seasoned team. The young Los Alamos team struggled through the game, but showed definite improvement towards the end of the second period. The Los Alamos team lost the opener 2-20. Their next game will be Thursday the 22 at Dara Jones Field in Whiterock.
