Los Alamos Youth Soccer League Registration Open

SPORTS News:

Registration for the LAYL Developmental Soccer Program (formally recreational) is open for the Spring 2018 season for 1st to 8th grade players.

Games and practices sessions are held in Los Alamos and White Rock. Practice sessions are run in an academy style format twice a week for an hour. Players will be divided based on grade level and experience.

‘Topper Baseball Defeats Belen Eagles

Los Alamos Hilltoppers warm up before their game against the Belen Eagles Thursday afternoon at Bomber Field. The Eagles came into the game ranking second in the state with a win/loss record of 11 wins and one loss. The ‘Toppers had a big job of ahead of them but rose to the occassion and beat the Eagles 8-3. Anyone 50 years of age or older may register for the 2018 New Mexico Senior Olympic Games, which are July 18 through July 22 in Albuquerque. 
 
A Registration Booklet is available. Participation will possibly qualify for 2019 National Senior Olympic Games also in Albuquerque.

Los Alamos High School Hilltopper soccer captain Senior Tristan Semelsberger has signed a letter of intent to play soccer at NCAA Division II power Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colo. Semelsberger finished his senior season playing 22 games, scoring 15 goals and grabbing nine assists.
