Tami Martinson of Los Alamos Scores Second Career Hole In One

Tami Martinson of Los Alamos scored her second career hole in one Sunday at the Los Alamos Golf Course.
Witnessing her great shot were husband Drew Martinson, along with Wayne and Lynn Taylor.
Martinson was playing from the red tees on the 15th hole, which measures 146 yards and she hit a 6 iron for her perfect shot. Read More

Neal Pederson and his daughter, Michelle Pederson of Los Alamos were both winners in their age categories at the USA National Championships Downhill Mountain Bike race last Sunday in Angel Fire.
Michele won the junior women’s 15-18 race and Neal did the same in the men’s 45-49 event.

Pace racers try to predict their run and walk times for known course lengths. Tuesday night, Paulina Burnside aced her prediction on the three mile Turkey Trot course in the Bayo Canyon/North Mesa area.
One and two mile courses also were available, but two of the next three best predictions were also on the longest course. Bill Rice, Roxana Candia and Paul Elkins had respective errors of 24, 28, and 30 seconds.

LAMS News:The registration night originally scheduled for 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8 at the LAMS gymnasium has been cancelled.
