Sheriff Files Proposed Amendment to Charter

Sheriff Marco Valentino Lucero filed in the Los Alamos County Clerk’s Office Thursday a proposed amendment to Los Alamos County Charter 304.3 “Duties of the Sheriff and Police.”

Local Detectives Collecting Unused Prescription Drugs Saturday

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. April 28 in the Los Alamos Medical Center Parking lot, detectives from the Los Alamos Police Department will participate in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) fourth National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

The event provides a safe way for the general public to deposit expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs and also to prevent pill abuse and theft.

The following information was provided by the Los Alamos Police Department. Neither arrests nor charges indicate a conviction, and neither means that a person is guilty of the charges filed against them.

April 12 at 9:46 a.m. / Los Alamos National Laboratory reported that it was the victim of larceny in the 800 block of Mesita Del Buy. The estimated loss is less than $2,500.
