A series of capital improvement project (CIP) public meetings kicks off next Tuesday, and details on the meeting format have been released by Los Alamos County:
As residents enter, they will be asked if they wish to sign in with their name and address on one of three sign-in sheets in order to make public comment. The three lists are:
- 1) Public Comment on CIP items not on the list at the December Council meeting where this topic was discussed;
- 2) Public Comment on CIP items already on the list at the December meeting; and
- 3) Public Comment on funding mechanisms for any of the projects.

Here are several facts to keep in mind. First, the state of New Mexico requires every school district to provide free transportation to and from school for all eligible students.
