Department of Energy employees and contractor employees may get a little more help in the future to combat whistleblower retaliation by their employers.

ALBUQUERQUE  Attorney General Hector Balderas announced Monday that the Office of the Attorney General obtained a temporary restraining order and injunction against a New Mexico attorney, Joshua R. Simms, and a group of non-attorneys who operate a mortgage assistance relief business which operates under the name “Praedium Preservation.”

NASA Issues Report On New Mexico Methane Hotspot

WASHINGTON, D.C.  NASA released a study Monday on methane emissions from the oil and gas industry in the San Juan Basin of New Mexico.
 
The report, based on intensive aerial surveys and ground crews, is a follow-up on the 2014 satellite report that initially found the “hotspot” in the region, and sought to further identify and explain its causes.

The study identified 250 large methane plumes emitted from well pads, storage tanks, pipelines, gas processing plants, and venting from the San Juan coal mine. The new study found that roughly half of basin-wide methane

I had to make the dreaded hour long trip to Santa Fe Emergency Vet on Sunday with a sick cat. I’m thankful that they are there. But having to wait an hour to get help for a bleeding or sick cat or dog is so unsettling.

And the fact that they are closed on Wednesday and Thursday for the foreseeable future because they can’t find enough vets who want to work in emergency medicine is really scary.

Can’t our local vets get together and offer after hours care for at least Wednesdays and Thursdays until Santa Fe is open again on those days? We could sure use after hours emergency vet Read More
