Lodger’s Tax Advisory Board Meets Tuesday

The Lodger’s Tax Advisory Board will meet at noon Tuesday, Oct. 17. The meeting will begin in Council Chambers but at 1:30 p.m. it will move to Room # 110 in the Municipal Building at 1000 Central Ave.

The meeting is open to the public.

New Mexico State Police Seek Assistance In Armed Robbery/Carjacking Investigation

PECOS ― The New Mexico State Police is investigating an armed robbery of a male victim, which occurred at an ATM around 8 a.m. Friday in Pecos.

Tranquilino Louis Valencia

Investigators believe at least three suspects, two males and a female, were involved in this incident. One male subject, identified as Mariano Francisco Araica-Avalos, was taken into custody by State Police and interviewed.

The remaining two suspects, later identified as 33-year-old Tranquilino Louis Valencia and 17-year-old Terra Silva,

SFCC To Close For Employee Professional Development Conference Oct. 20

SANTA FE ― Santa Fe Community College will not offer any services or classes Friday, Oct. 20, while faculty and staff participate in a campus-wide Professional Development Conference.
