NMPED COVID-19 Update: 8 Staff Members And 10 Students Test Positive In New Mexico Public Schools In Last 24 Hours

SANTA FE — The Public Education Department announced Friday 18 new positive cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Rapid response has been initiated, and all pertinent information has been verified with the schools and school districts.

The following new cases have been reported:

Daily Postcard: A ‘Flame Skimmer’ (Libellula saturnata), the common name of this dragonfly is spotted Wednesday along the stream at the bottom of Ancho Canyon Trail. These dragonflies breed in the warm springs of Ancho Canyon and also Pajarito Springs at the bottom of the Red Dot Trail. During the summer they often fly out of the canyon and can be  seen in the backyards of White Rock. They will remain active and can still be seen in these canyons until the first hard freeze. WildEarth Guardians File Lawsuit Over Antiquated Federal Wildlife Killing Program In New Mexico

SANTA FE — WildEarth Guardians sued the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s “Wildlife Services” over its outdated wildlife-killing program in New Mexico.

The program—formerly called “Animal Damage Control”—relies on scientific studies and data from the 1970s and 80s and has never prepared an Environmental Impact Statement for its activities in New Mexico.

The above graphic depicts the traffic flow that will be in place Oct. 12 to Nov. 3 providing an option to voters wishing to drive-up and drop-off their Absentee Ballot for the General Election.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing on Sunday, October 4, 2020, of our dear mother and wife, Linda Anderson, at her home in White Rock, New Mexico.

Linda was born in Maplewood, New Jersey to the late Margaret and Joseph Quinn on September 25th, 1937. She attended Maplewood High School and graduated with a B.A. in languages from Penn State University, where she met her husband of 60 years, Charles Alfred Anderson.

The Los Alamos Heart Council and Los Alamos Medical Center are pleased to sponsor a Free Flu Shot Clinic 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Sullivan Field parking lot.
