On The Job In Los Alamos: Kevin And Melinda Albright Announce Morning Glory’s Final Day Of Business Is Saturday

After a little more than 22 years of serving Los Alamos residents freshly baked doughnuts, savory breakfast burritos and steaming cups of coffee, Morning Glory Baking Company at 1377 Diamond Dr. is closing its doors. It will be open one final day, from 7 a.m. to noon this Saturday. The kitchen is closed but all the remaining foodstuffs will be available for purchase. Owners Kevin and Melinda Albright outside their restaurant today explained that the storefront, along with the former Metzger’s gas station and auto shop next door, recently sold so they decided it was time to close their business. Melinda said closing is bittersweet. It was sad to leave the restaurant, she said, but added that she and Kevin are looking forward to their next adventure. Photo by Kirsten Laskey/ladailypost.com
