LANL Community Programs continued its annual “LANL Laces” with a gift of 10 coupons for shoes for Los Alamos students.
This marks the fourth year that Amanda Martinez on behalf of the Los Alamos National Laboratory Community Programs Office has been a part of the giving program. This year, 162 LANL Laces gift cards were distributed to needy students throughout northern New Mexico.

MOD Filters Replaced At WIPP

Replacement of the moderate efficiency (MOD) pre-filters that are part of the High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filtration system for the WIPP underground ventilation system was successfully completed Wednesday.

New Environmental Health And Safety Master’s Degree Program Informational Meeting At Noon Thursday

Learn more about a new master’s degree program in environmental health and safety by attending an informational meeting noon, Thursday, March 5 in Room 3 of Mesa Public Library on Central Avenue in downtown Los Alamos.
The two-year degree program is offered by Colorado State University and is open to anyone who has a bachelor of science or bachelor of arts degree and has completed certain prerequisite classes – see below.
