Saturday is Wildfire Day at Ashley Pond Park and among those expected to attend are Sparky the Fire Dog, Elroy the Elk, Smokey Bear and the Easter Bunny.
The event is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and promises many fun activities for all ages including an Easter egg hunt with 20,000 eggs held in partnership with the Elks Lodge. Other attractions include bouncy houses provided by Freedom Church and a bicycle safety course. Read More

A new book, “The Kremlinologist” by Jenny Thompson and Sherry Thompson will be the topic for the March Authors Speak lecture at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29 at Fuller Lodge.
The authors are the daughters of the subject of this biography, “The Kremlinologist – Llewellyn E. Thompson, America’s Man in Cold War Moscow,” and spent eight years of their childhood in Moscow.
