‘UNASHAMED’ SALTeens 2019 Tour 7 P.M. Tuesday
COMMUNITY News:
SALTeens, which stands for “Singing and Living Truth,” will present the Gospel in music and drama at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 18 at the Christian Church at 92 East Road.
SALTeens is a summer high school program of Dallas Christian College.
Students are selected by audition for voice, instrumentation and tech support. It is a lively, compelling performance. The Christian Church’s own Lauren Partin, who was a SALTeen for four years, is now on staff with SALTeens helping prepare this year’s performers. Read More

The local Young Life organization has a goal to introduce adolescents to Jesus and help them grow in their faith. This is done by building bridges of friendship and earning the right to be heard, sharing life and faith and allowing teens the opportunity to make an informed decision about who Jesus is. Scenes From LAPD’s Safety Town 2019
The Los Alamos Police Department hosted its annual Safety Town program this week at Mountain Elementary School. Monday, participants learned about animal control, water and outdoor safety. Tuesday the students learned about fire safety and 911. Wednesday, the program was about bus and pedestrian safety. Thursday was police day with gun safety, bicycle safety training, a robot exhibit and a visit by the State Police K-9 unit with Whistler, a dog who helps recover evidence by smell.
