In a partnership with the Martha Liebert Public Library in Bernalillo, Coronado Historic Site is offering a “Ranger Read and Learn” story time that is free and open to all ages.

At Ranger Read and Learn, a ranger from Coronado Historic Site will read a story and offer related conversation and activities. Children can listen to the book I’m Trying to Love Rocks by Bethany Barton to learn about rocks and explore the different types of rocks in New Mexico. County: New Soapbox-Style Bathtub Gravity Race Oct. 9

Los Alamos County Recreation has announced the first-ever free Annual Soapbox-Style Gravity Race, set to take place along Central Avenue and Canyon Road. This community event is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. 

This is a free event, but pre-registration is required for both the Gravity Race and the Push Race. The last day to register for this event is Wednesday, Oct. 9.
