FBI And Laguna Police Seek Information In Stabbing Death

The FBI and Laguna Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the person or persons responsible for the homicide of a Native American man.

Aug. 12, 2021, Victor G. Jones, 42, was found deceased in the driveway of a residence in New Laguna, New Mexico.

The preliminary cause of death was a stab wound to his chest. Jones was a resident of Laguna Pueblo.

New Mexico BLM Christmas Tree Permits Go On Sale Monday

SANTA FE — Beginning Monday, Nov. 22, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) offices will begin personal Christmas tree permit sales for harvest of piñon and juniper.

Permits are available through Dec. 23 and cost $5 per tree.
