The New Mexico Historic Preservation Division (NMHPD) invites the community to Lincoln Historic Site 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 4-5 to see flintknapping in action, throw an atlatl, learn about ground-penetrating radar and much more during the 2023 New Mexico Archaeology Fair.
For more than three decades, the Archaeology Fair has brought organizations across New Mexico to celebrate and share information about public archaeology. The fair takes place at a different New Mexico site each year.

FBI: Mescalero Man Charged With Assault With Dangerous Weapon To Remain In Custody Pending Trial

ALBUQUERQUE — Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, and Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office, announced Monday that Lestat Cree Valdez made an initial appearance in Federal Court on a criminal complaint charging him with assault with a dangerous weapon.
