Former Chairman and CEO of Kellogg, Brown & Root Inc. Sentenced for Foreign Bribery and Kickback Schemes
WASHINGTON—Albert “Jack” Stanley, a former chairman and chief executive officer of Kellogg, Brown & Root Inc. (KBR), was sentenced Friday to 30 months in prison for conspiring to violate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) by participating in a decade-long scheme to bribe Nigerian government officials to obtain engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts and for conspiring to commit mail and wire fraud as part of a separate kickback scheme, the Justice Department’s Criminal Division today announced.

Just before returning home to White Rock after the close of the 2012 Legislative Session Thursday, Rep. Jim Hall shared his thoughts on the last 30 days at the state capitol.
“While you’re in the midst of it, it’s sort of a blur,” Hall said. “The primary purpose of the 30-day session is to get a budget passed and we got a pretty good budget passed ($5.65 billion.) Investigators Seek Public’s Help in Solving Navajo Man’s Death
The FBI and Navajo Department of Criminal Investigations are asking the public for information regarding an apparent hit-and-run death that occurred last Saturday night in Fruitland, N.M.
Stanley Begay, a 51-year-old Navajo man, was found dead on Navajo Route 36, near Mile Post 17, about 15 miles southwest of Farmington, at about 8:46 p.m. Saturday.
Begay was walking along Navajo Route 36 when he apparently was struck by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene.
No witnesses have come forward.
