The Family YMCA’s Ed Griggs Memorial Golf Tournament drew 24 teams of 94 players Saturday, June 11, to the Los Alamos Golf Course. A foster mother addressed the crowd and expressed her appreciation of Y scholarships. The annual event netted $13,615 for Y program scholarships.
 
The majority raised came from sponsorships, including the Platinum sponsorships of Kelly Myers Realtor, Re/Max of Los Alamos; Sam and Shay Kendricks; and Lou Santoro State

Seventeenth Annual Knights Of Columbus Scholarship Golf Tournament

Over seventeen years the annual Knights of Columbus Scholarship Golf Tournament has attracted sponsors and golfers from Los Alamos and around Northern New Mexico.

Funds raised from the event provide scholarships to graduating Los Alamos High School seniors. All graduating LAHS students can apply for the scholarship.

During the 17-year period of the tournament, the Knights have awarded an estimated $130,000 inscholarship money to graduating high school seniors. Donations to the event are tax deductible Read More

NJROTC Precision Team Travels To Cleveland

NJROTC News:

Los Alamos High School NJROTC Precision team members Samantha Miller, Stephanie Nielsen, Holly Hayes, Jacob Torrez, Jonathon Chavez and Commander Wesley Shumaker travel to Cleveland, Ohio. June 27-July 2.

State Three-Position Air Rifle Junior Olympic Championships are shoulder-to-shoulder matches held on the local level. Participation in these matches can earn athletes the opportunity to compete at the National 3PAR Championships.

The National 3PAR Championship is a combined event with the National 3PAR Junior Olympic Championship and the CMP National Championship. Read More
